2. SHOPWRITER COMMERCIAL LICENSE TERMS (APPLICABLE TO API USAGE)<\/span><\/h2>\n

There is no separate Pro plugin version<\/strong>. All plugin code is GPL, but certain features require a free or paid API key<\/strong> available via shop-writer.com\/.<\/span><\/p>\n

The plugin remains free and GPL. The API service is commercially licensed.<\/span><\/p>\n

2.1 API License Grant<\/span><\/h2>\n

By obtaining a paid API key, you receive a non-transferable license<\/strong> to access and use the ShopWriter API within the limits of your subscription.<\/span><\/p>\n

This API license is separate<\/strong> from the GPL license of the plugin.<\/span><\/p>\n

2.2 API Usage Restrictions<\/span><\/h2>\n

The following restrictions apply only<\/strong> to API usage: – You may not<\/strong> share, sell, transfer, or publish your API key. – You may not<\/strong> misuse the API (including mass scraping, automated spam, or abusive automation). – You may not<\/strong> attempt to bypass authentication, rate limits, or security mechanisms. – You may not<\/strong> resell the API or its output as a standalone service without written permission.<\/span><\/p>\n

These restrictions do not<\/strong> apply to the GPL plugin code.<\/span><\/p>\n

2.3 Ownership<\/span><\/h2>\n

All rights to the API, platform logic, AI output services, and infrastructure remain the exclusive property of ShopWriter.<\/span><\/p>\n

2.4 Updates & Access<\/span><\/h2>\n

  • Plugin updates are distributed under GPL.
    \nCertain API-powered features require a valid API key.<\/li>\n
  • API access is only available with a valid free or paid key.<\/span><\/li>\n
  • Paid API features are only accessible while the subscription is active.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    2.5 Termination of API Access<\/span><\/h2>\n

    ShopWriter may suspend or terminate API access if: – the API terms are violated, – abuse or security risks are detected, – a subscription expires or is cancelled.<\/span><\/p>\n

    This does not<\/strong> affect your right to continue using the GPL plugin.<\/span><\/p>\n

    2.6 API Liability Disclaimer<\/span><\/h2>\n

    To the fullest extent permitted by law: – ShopWriter shall not be liable for any damages arising from API usage, including incorrect AI output, downtime, data loss, business interruption, or indirect or consequential damages.<\/span><\/p>\n

    2.7 No Warranty for API Services<\/span><\/h2>\n

    The API is provided \u201cAS IS\u201d<\/strong>, without any guarantee regarding availability, uptime, accuracy, or suitability for any purpose.<\/span><\/p>\n

    2.8 ShopWriter Trademark & proprietary rights<\/h2>\n

    The ShopWriter name, logo, branding, cloud platform,
    \nAI models, prompts, datasets, templates, backend services
    \nand server-side infrastructure are proprietary and are not
    \nlicensed under the GPL.<\/p>\n

    2.9 No Competitive Use \/ Reverse Engineering<\/strong><\/p>\n

    You may not use the API output to train external AI models
    \nor datasets without written permission.<\/p>\n

    3. DUAL-LICENSING EXPLANATION<\/span><\/h2>\n

    ShopWriter uses a hybrid licensing structure:<\/span><\/p>\n

    The plugin code is licensed under GPL v2 or later.<\/p>\n

    \u2714 API Service \u2192 Commercial License<\/span><\/h3>\n

    Users may not<\/strong>: – Share or sell API keys – Bypass rate limits or authentication – Resell the API output as a standalone service without permission<\/span><\/p>\n

    This model is fully compliant with WordPress.org\u2019s licensing requirements.<\/span><\/p>\n
