In fact, DoorDash reported only a few hundred orders from AI agents, showcasing a similar pattern to Uber&#8217;s findings.<\/p>\n<h2>Why the Hesitance?<\/h2>\n<p>One reason people might not be jumping on the AI booking bandwagon could be the speed and convenience of the existing apps. Khosrowshahi highlighted that booking a ride takes just 50 seconds, while reordering food can be done in about 90 seconds. When the existing options are so quick and user-friendly, it\u2019s tough for AI agents to compete.<\/p>\n<h3>Future Opportunities<\/h3>\n<p>Despite the current lack of traction, Khosrowshahi sees AI agents as a potential game-changer down the line. He believes they could enhance the overall demand within the ecosystem, providing new avenues for reaching customers.
